What Apple iPad Could Offer Us?

The key to the question is not by analysis but by actual personal experience. In order to answer this question, I bought two ipads. Different applications which are worth of hundreds of dollars have been installed into my two electronic gadgets. Apple iPad is a feature product which makes you be the focus in any environment. However, what exactly these mini computers offer us?

1. Use iPad to Surf on Line

Could this electronic device replace PC? The answer is no. Sometimes, it’s comfortable and convenient to use this device to browse news on line. However, iPad couldn’t take the place of our laptops and desktops. We go online not just for browse news. We need to write content, express our opinions, interact with others, play big games, or chat on Skype, MSN or QQ. iPad makes us feel limited when we do something more than reading on line, even we use related iPad accessories to help us.

2. Deal with Our Office Work

Want use the product to deal with our office work? iPad is Ok to deal with normal files, but the product is not compatible and functional enough to handle our office work. This Apple device is not compatible with many applications on PC as well as many file formats, no matter we use some iPad accessories together or not. I have already given up to using it to handle my office work.

3. Watch Videos

Watching videos, especially high definition videos is really a breeze with this electronic gadget. But it takes us time to store videos inside. I once came across a friend who stored tens of high definition movies in his iPad. I asked him how to find all these movies. He told me he used a PC to compress from a DVD – the whole process took him an entire night. If we download a movie online directly, we also need to spend a lot of time. And imputing a movie in iPad takes some time.

4. Play Games

I assume that most iPad owner store a lot of games inside, like Plants vs. Zombies, Rally Pro Contest, and Dou Di Zhu, and so on. iPad allows us to have happy experience when we play.

5. Implement inside Applications in Our Daily Lives

Ipad has various applications and many of them are interesting and worth of trying. But we need to spent time to search and try.

6. Read

Ipad is an excellent reading tool. It could display books, especially magazines in abundant and powerful ways. Many functions impress us. But the electronic needs us to download and refresh continuously.

After use them for a while, I still think that iPad is very powerful and enchanting, especially when using them with right iPad accessories. Its most powerful function in my home is a game player. My family members as well as I seldom use it to do others. In the past, I always took my laptop when I went outside. Now, both iPad and notebook will be taken once I go outside. Many of you might just like me. The things in our bags are increasing, especially gadgets for entertainment.

After a long wait, Steve Jobs has finally unveiled the iPad, Apple’s spin on the slate PC.

The device is being billed by its makers as “the best way to experience the web, email, and photos” and will be available worldwide within 60 days.

But what effect will it have on website marketing?

Apple’s website promotion for the iPad went live yesterday (January 27th), featuring a seven-minute video offering super-slick demonstrations of the product in action.

The video sees Apple chief marketing officer Phil Schiller talk about how the device is meant to take the iPhone’s breakthroughs and apply them to “a whole new device category”.

“The iPad is the best web surfing experience, the best email experience, the best photo and movie-watching experience,” he says.

“It’s going to change the way we do the things we do every day.”

Mr Schiller could be right. The response to the iPad has so far been overwhelmingly positive, with publishers branding it an “important step” in the transition towards digital books.

As Bookseller.com reports, Penguin chief executive John Makinson said the product represented “an important step in the development of a digital audience for books”.

In addition, the New York Times has already announced a dedicated iPad app to bring the “essence” of a newspaper to the new device.

And while Mark Walsh of Online Media Daily says that the device is unlikely to be a “game-changer” in the world of mobile advertising, he notes that is likely to throw up some interesting new opportunities for brands and marketers.

Domenic Venuto of Razorfish tells the website that the iPad’s screen size – 9.7 inches – means that advertisers can be more creative about how they engage consumers.

“Whether it’s an advertising or publishing client we’re building new experiences for, this breathes new life into the category,” he said.

In addition, the iPad’s ability to run apps designed for the iPod and iPhone – as well as specialised ones developed just for the touchscreen device – offers further opportunities.

“We expect the Apple tablet to be a catalyst for a new generation of innovative applications,” remarks Paran Johar of Jumptap.
